Nipplerock Leader Detonates Himself In Busy Shopping District To Reassure Public Nothing Has Changed

An unnamed market—Seeking to calm fears that the nation might be softening, Nipplerock leader Gantoe on Saturday blew himself up with TNT in a crowded shopping district, an act Nipplerock officials described as “routine,” “on brand” and “very very very smart.”

“People were worried that because Nipplerock doesn’t hold territory on CivMC, we had gone quiet,” said a spokesperson. “We wanted to reassure everyone that we have not gone quiet. We have gone loud. In your market. On a Saturday.”

The explosion, which left a crater roughly the size of a small shop, destroyed two market stalls, one unreinforced fence and a sign reading “NO TNT.” Officials confirmed the sign had been put up specifically for Gantoe, and that this was the fourth one this month.

Nipplerock has appeared on server after server since the days of Civcraft, describing itself as a powerful threat with missiles that can reach anywhere on the map. Its long-running feud with Hexcorp dates back to the Battle of Tallahassee on Civcraft 2.0, and in 2020 it bombed a wheat farm in Alesia, where grateful locals put up a memorial on the spot.

Shoppers in the district said they were mostly unbothered. “Honestly, it’s tradition at this point,” said one. “My granddad was blown up by Nipplerock on Civcraft. My dad was blown up on CivClassic. It feels nice to keep that going.”

Another shopper said she had been “a little startled” but had since bought a commemorative crater postcard. “They had them ready to go,” she said. “That’s how you know it’s organised.”

In a short written statement, Nipplerock said the event proved its strength, its technology and its continued relevance on the server. The statement was signed “Gantoe” and smelled faintly of gunpowder.

Market traders have asked whether next month’s detonation can be moved to a weekday. Nipplerock said it would “take the request seriously,” then exploded.
