Estalia Reaffirms Isolationism In 4,000-Word Statement Delivered Personally To Every Nation On Server

Suramir, Estalia—Restating its long-standing commitment to staying out of other nations’ affairs, the Glorious Undying Star Empire of Estalia on Tuesday delivered a 4,000-word statement on isolationism to every nation on the server, by hand.
“Estalia has no interest in the outside world, and we felt it was important that the outside world understood that in detail,” said a spokesperson, who confirmed the statement had been sent by courier, posted in 31 Discord servers, read aloud at three rail stations and written on the floor of Suramir in wool.
The document, which runs to fourteen sections and an appendix, sets out Estalia’s position on every ongoing conflict, every alliance and several individual players, before concluding that Estalia “does not have opinions on these matters.” Section 7 alone, titled “Things Estalia Is Not Thinking About,” lists 212 nations, four religions and one specific birch tree near the Stony Sea.
The statement also stresses that Estalia has no view on the current fighting around Westhelm, then includes a three-page map showing where Estalia would draw the front line “if we had a view, which, again, we do not.”
Recipients described the delivery process as thorough. “We got four copies,” said a delegate from Doom City. “The last one was brought by a courier who then stood outside our council chamber for six hours to make sure we finished it. When we did, he asked if we had any questions. We said no. He said, ‘Good, because Estalia isn’t taking questions,’ and left.”
Historians note that Estalia has followed a largely isolationist course since the Generic War of 2022, a policy Estalian officials have described at every international summit since, often for several hours.
The wool version of the statement now covers roughly 40 percent of the central plaza in Suramir, the largest build on the server and one of its busiest rail hubs. Merchants say trade has slowed because visitors keep stopping to read the floor. “People come in to buy obsidian and end up on paragraph nine,” said one shopkeeper. “Some of them never leave.”
Asked whether the statement itself might count as engaging with the outside world, the spokesperson said the matter was addressed in Section 11, which is a single sentence reading “No.”
At press time, Estalia had sent a follow-up message to every nation asking whether they had read it.
